The Election & Cats

One surprising thing about this year's presidential election is how prevalent the theme of cats is - which fits in nicely with my little niche business! It's like the whole world is going 'purr-itical' this year, and my business is right in the mix!

I have tried to remain neutral with my political merchandise, making sure to have an equal number of products for each of the two major parties. And, early on, I had merchandise for other smaller political parties, as well. I wanted to keep the peace in the political aisle, offering goodies for both elephants and donkeys (and even the occasional independent critter). The "childless cat lady" theme was my favorite, closely followed by the "meanwhile, in Springfield" collection.

Scouring the news for fresh cat references to whip up some cool new items for Al's shop is a blast! But boy, I'll feel a little bummed once the election buzz dies down.
